In Iowa as well as in other states there are lawyers specialized in bankruptcy. Unfortunately bankruptcy is the only solution for many people. After struggling for months, maybe years and after trying all other less radical solutions of their debt problems, they have to throw in the towel and just accept the plain and brutal truth: I’m bankrupt. But this doesn’t mean that life is over; not at all. And it is good to know that help is available out there.

Just as you would never operate on yourself, you also should never attempt to represent yourself in a court of law. There are a number of lawyers across Iowa who specialize in bankruptcy cases that can help you understand the legal process behind filing and what implications it will have on your life. Often these lawyers will counsel with you at first to look at options other than filing for financial relief with the courts. Sometimes there are better solutions that filing and these attorneys will do what it takes to make sure you know all the choices available to you.

In Iowa, there are certain laws which govern who may file for bankruptcy and under what circumstances. Lawyers who specialize in this field are constantly keeping up-to-date on the laws and how they relate to individual cases. Many times the law may change on a yearly basis and a skilled attorney will keep up on the changes so that they may bring expertise and value to their client both inside and outside the courtroom.

Never be afraid to ask your attorney if there are any other options available to you besides filing for financial relief. Many times they will know of counseling programs and special payment relief programs that are available to help you get through a tough financial time without having to declare yourself bankrupt. Remember, a filing and relief judgment from the court will remain on your credit report for 10 years and seriously impact your ability to borrow money or get credit during that time period.

The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage–at least it seems that way. If you’ve been thinking you need to know more about unconditional love, here’s your opportunity.

When darkness turns to day, the sun moves over the horizon and touches everything in sight. This movement across the landscape brightens everything. Such an illumination awakens us all. We rise with energy moving in and through us allowing us to create a new day. A day unique from all the rest and creatively woven into our soul.

This is the landscape of our soul. As you can see, nature has a way of showing us just how powerful we are. The same power that created the moon and the stars and the movement of all space and time lies within the human heart. It is the heart of creation itself, and perhaps, the heart of our Creator.

Human beings are fortunate to be able to be aware of our awareness. This awareness gives us an opportunity to reflect on our soul and find blessing in being alive. Our consciousness of a creative force inside us guiding us into this world, through it, and eventually to our eternal home allows us to fulfill a purpose on this earth.

Such a purpose is beyond our own ability to really know. Yet, we can open our heart enough to allow our purpose to find us. This is done by recognizing that the things in life that really matter ARE the things in life that isn’t matter.

Yes, it is our soul’s longing to fulfill the purpose for which we came to earth for. No one really knows how a baby is conceived totally. Science and human understanding still hasn’t been able to fully comprehend such a force of nature. We can only embrace what is beyond us and find a way to bring into being forces of nature such as a tiny child.

When a child is born, we are in awe. The miracle of birth creates something inside us all. It is the remembrance that life does not come from us. Instead, life comes through us. As such, we are living in a dream come true. All of us are probably living our soul’s purpose more than we know, and even, can know. It is the mystery of all mysteries.

This does not explain why some of us find peace and other’s find pain. But, such a philosophy will enable us all to find grace in knowing our lives create in our world facets of ourselves we all are a part of. An understanding of such grace gives every one of us a chance to find mercy and grace and the same unconditional love we came into the world with when we were born.

As we wave goodbye to 2005 and charge into 2006, it is time to get your house in order. This is particularly true for the legal issues in your life.

Legal Planning

As drab as it may seem, legal planning can help you avoid disasters in your life. With the turn of the calendar, now is the time to give your life and business some thought.

On the family front, you should be thinking about changes you experienced in 2005 and if any of them require you to take some steps. If you got married, you need to jump through a few loopholes related to changing names, addresses with relevant companies and so on. If you had a new family addition, have you give consideration to updating your will or family trust? On a less enjoyable subject, are there any steps you need to make with parents who are growing older. Elder abuse, particularly financially, can be a problem and you may want to provide assistance to elder parents so they aren’t taken advantage of.

On the business front, now is the time to take a step back and reflect upon how things are going. Did you meet your goals in 2005? If you didn’t, how do you plan to make 2006 a better year? In making this determination, you need to be honest with yourself and make sure you evaluate your week points. From a legal perspective, are all of your relevant business documents up to date? Have annual minutes been filed for your corporation or LLC?

A particular area where businesses fail to follow up are changes in contracts. When entering a contract, both parties tend to see great success in the future. Inevitably, they discover the agreement needs to be tweaked to allow for circumstances and so on. When this occurs, the parties will often reach an oral agreement or just shake hands on it. Such agreements are not binding on the parties. If a dispute occurs, the business relationship will be evaluated using the original agreement. That can lead to a nightmare of circumstances. If you’ve tweaked an agreement with another party, now is the time to get such an amendment in writing!

April 15th sounds a long way off, but it will come faster than you can imagine. Yep, I’m talking about taxes. Do you feel you pay too much in taxes? Of course you do. This is a god given right of every American. Well, now is the time to do something about it. You should contact your CPA and do some tax planning for 2006. Saving taxes often comes down to how you collect revenues and distribute them. Slight changes can save you tens of thousands of dollars, but you must implement them early in the calendar year.

As the calendar flipped to 2006, you undoubtedly made a resolution to do something. Getting your legal house in order probably wasn’t what you had in mind, but it is something you should do!

High school days are usually the time when you can fully enjoy your student life, and after you graduate, it’s time for you to go to college. But the truth is, many students are unable to go to college because of certain financial issues. This however, should not hinder you from pursuing higher education. You have options, and all you have to do is to discover what options are available for would-be college students like you.

Having a brilliant career is probably what most students are dreaming about and you can only achieve this if you are able to graduate from college. With all the financial constraints surrounding you, don’t give up easily and check these six options for you to choose from,

1.	scholarships
2.	grants
3.	loans
4.	get a part-time job
5.	join community programs and avail of their services
6.	joining the army

Among these six options, the first two are usually the likely choice of almost any student. You can find scholarships and grants in almost any part of the globe. Perhaps the reason why many students prefer these options is because they don’t have to repay the money that they’ll be using through college.

This is truly an advantage compared to acquiring a loan. A loan needs to be repaid at a specific date and time while scholarships/grants are given to students free.

Talk to your high school guidance counselor, because he/she might know of particular institutions or universities which offer college scholarships and grants. Applicants with artistic, athletic, and scientific talents are also given special scholarships especially those who are in need of serious financial resources. Also, check for online databases that cater to college scholarships which the public can browse freely.

Many students may think that a grant is similar to a college scholarship. It is different in the sense that with a grant, you are required to submit a proposal for a possible future project. And if your proposal is quite good, you can find a sponsor which can fund your way through college.

Scholarships on the other hand, are given to students based on their achievements. So, college scholarships are much easier to obtain than grants.

Any way you choose, you still have to meet their standards. And if the institution or university decides that you are a qualified applicant, then that is only the time that you can enjoy the benefits of being a scholar.

When you are finally awarded with a scholarship or grant, be responsible and do everything you can to maintain your good standing in class. Oftentimes, scholarships and grants require you to maintain certain ratings while you’re in college. You must also be aware that they can also terminate your scholarship/grant if they see it fit.

The money that you’ll get from the scholarship should be used to fund your way to college; like payment of tuition fees and other school fees. Take advantage of your situation and make the most out of your free education. Don’t waste the chance that has been given to you.

The career that you’ve wanted all these years is just waiting for you. So take chances, life is full of many obstacles; but if you are hardworking, diligent, and patient, you can go through your college life with ease.

Women dream of having a happy and fulfilled family life. But sometimes reality can really hurt, and the fairy tale world ends with a snap of a finger. And very soon, you’ll find yourself raising your kids alone without the help of your husband. Supporting a family with kids is tough, especially if you’re a single mom. And the best way to be able to give your kids a decent life is to finish college, and land a good job.

Being a single mother can be very hard. You would have to do everything yourself; work hard, attend to your kids needs, and attend college classes. Oftentimes, you will have difficulty in handling your finances. And attending college requires a certain sum of money. Here is where a college scholarship will come in handy.

Different universities offer college scholarships for single moms; all you have to do is to find the right university which could help you in that aspect. The internet is also a good source of universities and institutions which offer such scholarships. Finding these universities/institutions requires a bit of your time, but it’s quite worthy in the end.

Some single mothers will often think that it’s the end of the world, but it is not so; though you may have many problems, getting your way through college is still very much important. At least, after you graduate, you can look for a high-paying job.

Almost any scholarship grant has pre-set standards. If you can pass these standards, you will eventually get money for college free. You don’t need to pay back because it’s not considered as a debt. These grants are often paid for by the government and other private organizations. The money that you will receive can be used to pay for tuition fees and other university fees.

How will you start your search? Well, you can start by asking for information from your state department for college/higher education, local library, financial aid departments, and guidance counselors. You can also ask your employer (if you’re presently employed) and some of your friends.

You can choose from many deals, and beware of scams for there are a great many who want to victimize you. Check all possible scholarship deals that you may encounter, know the qualifications required like transcripts, recommendation letters, essays, and other important papers which can prove your eligibility.

Applying for a college scholarship is just like applying for a job. So make yourself presentable, and get all your important papers in proper order. There are times when you may have second thoughts about going back to college, but your future lies in your bare hands. Talk with family and friends who can provide you with your needed support as you go through this stage; ask for advice and finally, arrive at a decision.

If you think, you can pull it through to college, with a family and work to manage, don’t waste your chance. College scholarships are free, so why not just do it.

Some of the college scholarships for single mothers are Women’s Opportunity Award and the Raise the Nation Scholarship. Resources for college scholarships are not hard to find. Prepare for your kids’ future and look for scholarship which can support your college needs. The job that you’ve wanted to have is just within your arms reach.

What would be your life after high school?

Graduating from high school is the moment of truth. You need to decide on the path that you will follow after your high school life. There are some who prefer to get a job right away instead of pursuing their respective college dreams while others will join the military as their service to the American people. But a majority of high school graduates are still undecided in terms of what career they will pursue after high school.

However, the most essential thing you need to remember is to do follow the path where God is leading you.

There was once a college professor who has earned his bachelor’s degree on a Christian college. He felt like he was in “heaven”-in a place where he is surrounded by professors and students who are all devoted Christians. They supported him in the endeavor he wants to push through while studying. He had also friends who attended other Christian colleges and experienced the same thing.

Although attending a Christian college will not lead to a sacerdotal ordination as a priest or a soldier of God, getting yourself enrolled in college where the administrators, staff, faculty, and students are devoted Christians is indeed an excellent choice. They care not only for your education, but also to your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. In addition, there were past researches made indicating that students who attend Christian colleges are most likely to affirm their Christian faith and strong belief in God.

Probably you are afraid of the potential “high cost” of attending a Christian college or university. However, there is nothing to worry about. In fact, there are many students who have attended Christian colleges and universities through the help of generous donors. Just like regular colleges and universities, Christian colleges also offer scholarships to students who are having financial difficulties yet are determined to finish their collegiate studies and obtain their college degree through the intervention of God.

There are several steps that you can take to receive a Christian college scholarship. These are as follows:

?	Spring of Junior Year- during at this stage of your high school education, there are various sponsors that offer scholarships to students who want to finish their college education on a Christian college. Most of the scholarships offered during this time have application deadlines set on the senior years.

?	January-May of your High School Senior Year- at this point, you need to complete a FAFSA or the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid. You can get these from your high school counselor or from the Christian college where you plan to enroll.

After you completed your FAFSA, your ISIR or Institutional Student Informational Record would be produced and would be sent to the Christian college where you are listed. Once the college received your ISIR, they will send you a SAR or Student Aid Report. Complete the information on the SAR to receive the financial aid package.

Keep in mind that the best way to obtain a good Christian college scholarship is to do your best while you are on your high school years. It means that you should have a higher GPA, higher rankings from your academic class, and higher score on your SAT. Aside from your excellent academic records, you must have an active participation in other school activities such as youth groups, community volunteer programs, and others.

As mentioned earlier, follow the path where God wants to lead you. Do not be afraid, through His intervention, your Christian college life will not be as difficult as others may think.

Stress and the immune system play a vital role in your life and overall health. Day-to-day stressful events affect how your body responds to fighting illnesses. Stressful events that occur on a short-term basis can change the way your immune systems responds temporarily. Responses from the immune system to short-term stresses can actually be helpful in some cases, redistributing cells in a positive manner to help your body adapt as a quick-fix. Moderately stressful events, however, can have a damaging impact on your body’s immune system, while traumatic and chronic stress can compromise your immune system’s ability to perform.

Individuals react differently to stressful situations: some experience more physiological changes when under pressure than others. Stress and the immune system can bring about conditions in which your body’s cells can actually be suppressed and rendered unable to engage in their useful functions of protecting your body against infections.

From one stressful presentation you have to make at work, to the everyday traffic congestion that can turn into road rage, stress and the immune system play a significant role in your overall health. If your body’s immune system isn’t functioning properly, all sorts of germs, bacteria, viruses, and diseases have the opportunity to pass into your system to cause you more grief.

Diabetes, ulcers, heart attacks, and asthma are just a few conditions made worse by the effects of stress and the immune system. Increases in chemicals produced by your body that help with nerve conduction cause changes in your heart rate and blood vessels, compromising the immune system’s response when you enter situations that cause you stress.

To help lower the chances that stress and the immune system will negatively affect your daily life, you can take steps such as eating right, getting regular exercise and getting plenty of rest. Your body needs you to take care of it so that it can help take care of you. Eating healthy and nutritious foods is a good place to start. Consumption of foods such as orange vegetables (carrots, pumpkin, squash, and sweet potatoes) help with the Vitamin A your skin needs to help prevent bacteria from getting into your body. Lean, low-fat beef and certain types of mushrooms containing zinc promote the building of white blood cells to help fight infection. Tea, fortified cereals and yogurt also aid in keeping your immune system functioning well.

You can also try to keep your stress levels at a minimum — easier said than done for a lot of people. Practice deep-breathing exercises and other anxiety-calming techniques to try to reduce your stress levels. Stress and the immune system can negatively impact your body’s health and well being when stress gets out of hand and your immune system isn’t up to its job. Stress is a physiological process, but you can take psychological steps to rein it in and get control over the situation before it gets out of control and causes an illness to befall you.
